Last 2 meetings of our English 2, we don’t have a class. For the first meeting, the class was canceled from 3 to 7 pm because of the mitin de avance for the upcoming election for new officers in KASAMA. So they had presented there platforms. I saw some of my classmates and we had the same thoughts. We talked about the standing of our term paper. We’d waited for almost half an hour and then we leave the CASS. While I was going to the exit gate, I passed by where the mitin de avance held and listened to the speaker for a while. So they had presented there platforms. I didn’t finish the program and go home immediately. And then, I come back to school at 7 pm to watch the kalimulan cultural show. I was very entertained and fascinated by the dancers. I’m glad that a friend of mine gave us a complementary pass.
On the second meeting, luckily it’s Muslim holiday. I acted stupid because I went to school without knowing that we don’t have an exam. I was expecting that we’re going to have an exam but actually we don’t because according to my classmate that my teacher in Physics told us that our special exam will be move. I was stupid because I waited for more than half an hour. So I immediately went home with full of regret. When I got home, I immediately start to make an outline but i didn't finish it. I fell asleep and I woke up late in the evening.

more worries, more pressure
On Wednesday (February 16), Teacher gave us a schedule for our assignments or let say requirements. Maybe Next week and the other weeks will be a pressure week. I’m sure that we’re going to focus on drafting because on March 3 is the day that we have to pass our draft in our topic. I was worried about my topic because I was not so sure about it. I come to think to change my topic but I don’t have much time to change it and it would take a lot of effort for me to research again. So I decided to just continue my topic.
I’m still thinking on what to write in my outline so that I can start my draft. Thanked God on Friday, we don’t have a class. Joy told me that we will not meet because teacher was in CDO. All we have to do is to pass our assignment which is the outline. After we passed the outline, we can go home already. I was lucky because I had time to study my chem. 15 for our midterm exam yesterday.

Prostrating week
January 10, 2010. I came late again, but ma'am didn't arrive yet. So when I came in, I saw my group so busy preparing our outline. I gave my small information about our topic to my classmate. I could see to my group that we are not yet prepared. While group one was reporting there outline, I was busy writing an outline. After the group one presented there report, we have to give a comment and then give them a score. So after our activity, Ma'am Lynnie announced that we'll have another activity this coming friday.
January 12, 2010. Luckily we don't have a class. Ma'am Lynnie was not in her office. So it means that we don't have a class for this day. Yehey!! so my classmate planned to go home immediately.

Another meeting
February 5, 2010. I was late and I don’t even know where to sit in. luckily, I saw Joy and in her left was an empty seat. I sit beside her and ask her what the activity is for this day. I looked at the board so confused. Then I began to think, “OK, it was about a topic that should be narrow, give the claim and lastly the thesis. Then I began to ask Joy what I will contribute to the group. Since our group has lacking a thesis, she asks me what will be our thesis. I began to think, but there are no words and Idea would come out. I just give a suggestion to have my small contribution, at least. After our group activity, teacher Lynnie let us read three articles that our found at the back of the book. And then, she let us think of a question that has been answered by the given article.

Friday Activity
January 29, 2010. When Ma'am Lynnie entered, I noticed she's holding something. I thought we're going to have a quiz but when she started to talk, I sighed. She asked a student to collect three pesos and give us a photocopy of APA format used in bibliography writing. She assigned us to bring the materials which are the manila paper, marker pen and masking tape. Then, She group us into four groups. I belong in group four. Ma'am left us for ten minutes to study the APA format for our activity. When she gets inside, she brought some books, magazines and etc. And then, we start our fun activity. All of my group mates were pressured because of the time limit. It's not easy to find all the information needed in the books, magazines, or journals to write the right bibliography because there are some info that are not included in the bibliography writing. The activity was fun and I really enjoyed it. My group got an eight score.

A Catastrophic Events of Typhoon Ondoy
On September 2009, Typhoon Ondoy brought a months worth of rainfall to Metro Manila and nearly areas in just a few hours, causing severe flooding which resulted in the less of many lives and the displacement of thousands of people.
I was really down upon seeing the extent of the aftermath of typhoon Ondoy in the news. Seeing those people suffer and stranded without homes or food made me feel despair. Even those without electricity and the effects it currently has on the quality of life.
Thinking about the devastation and who will be clearing that up. Maybe it will be a group effort, or maybe people will just be focused on helping themselves, explore that option if need be. Ondoy struck thousands of Filipinos belonging to different walks of life. It dawned upon everyone how nature is badly hurt from our own doing like disposal of garbage, deforestation, pollution from factories and vehicles and so on.
I realized that whatever we give to nature, nature will give it back to us. If we violate the laws of nature, we have to suffer the consequences and face the wrath of Mother Earth. I also realized that money and wealth cannot save you from a natural calamity. It chooses no one. It can hit even the richest person on earth. We are all stewards of God’s creation. God gave us dominion over everything that He has created. From this time, we have a great responsibility in taking care of whatever He created. Tragedy gives all of us a chance to act better and be better

Happy Friday
While I was walking through the corridor, I saw the room was so dark. The lights were turned off and there were no students inside. I smiled and thought that there will be no classes. But When I come closer, I notice that there are two students inside. It was Asami and her classmate. I ask them if we still have class on English because I had heard from someone that there will be no classes. But still I want to come to school to check out if we have a class.
We'd waited for so long until Ma'am Lynnie came. And she reminds us about the deadline of our assignment about the reaction to our chosen issue. And then, she had a short discussion about evaluating the sources of our term paper. Then, she asks us to keep a stack of bibliographic in a 3x5 index cards. Lastly, she gave as an assignment.
What makes my Friday happy is that finally Ma'am Lynnie approved my topic for my term paper..Yehey!!!a big clap for me...hahahah!!!THANK GOD!!!!

Learning blog
January 30, Ma'am Lynnie discussed a new lesson about writing the essay. I've learning something about expanding a paragraph into a five-paragraph composition. The steps that I'd learned in making an essay is to make a rough outline, then produce a paragraph, and lastly expand it into a five paragraphs. This paragraph is divided by three basic structures which are the introduction, body and conclusion. And I've realize how important to bring out my attention on writing carefully thought-out paragraphs.

My Christmas
Christians celebrate Christmas Day as the birth of Jesus Christ. Popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending “Simbang gabi or Misa De Gallo, sharing meals with family.
On the day before Christmas, I thought that I could attend the last mass of “Simbang gabi” but unfortunately I woke up late in the morning. For the nine-day mass of celebrating the Eucharist in the dawn, I only attended 3 times. I’m very disappointed because I promised to myself to accomplish the nine days.
By the time I woke up, I immediately go downstairs and start to clean the house. When everybody wakes up, I know that they would be shocked of seeing me sweeping the floor because they don’t usually see me cleaning the house. So, all of us are busy preparing for “Noche Buena” or Christmas Eve. Minutes to go then its Christmas, everyone is exciting. It was twelve in the midnight, everybody says “Merry Christmas!” and then blows there cute, colorful trumpets. After greeting my whole family, we eat together in the table full of sweet dishes and then we go to sleep.
December 25 in the evening, we go to church and give thanks to the Lord Our God.
For me Christmas is the time to give love and spent time with family.

Descriptive writing

My awesome trip to Bohol
I was frantic because were pretty excited of how the chocolate hills look. I've only seen the chocolate hills in the magazine and t.v., they really look fascinating and intriguing.
As we go along the road, we could see the clear, blue ocean and it's very refreshing to look at. It even look ravishing when the sunlight strike the surface of the ocean. It's like a bed of diamonds. Our first stop was at Baclayon Church, were very unfortunate for we can't enter the museum because it's closed. I felt disappointed because I was expecting the we could take pictures of some of the historic artifacts. So, to ease up our mode, we choose to take pictures outside the church to mark that we actually step foot at the second oldest Church in the Philippines.
After that, then we started to make our way to the enormous Chocolate Hills. While we were on our way to Chocolate Hills, I slept through the whole ride. By the time I woke up, we were already at Mahugani Forest which I find mysterious and unbelievable because I never thought a man could make wonderful creation like this.
Then it was time to go as our adult companion told us that it was time to go to Chocolate Hills. As we were getting close to our next destination across the cliffs, we could already see some of the hills. It made us more excited that were almost there. At last we arrived at the tourist balcony(where tourist can watch a closer look at the hills). I couldn't believe at first that i have finally seen one of the worlds natural wonders. Since we went there on a dry season, the hills was adorably colored in brown. Seeing it with my own eyes, the gigantic size proved my theory's wrong that were just small hills scattered everywhere. The balcony also didn't fail to impress us with its wishing well.
On our way back to our lodging house, our last stop on that day was at loboc. We get to see the endangered animal which are the tarsiers(one of the most important establishment in Bohol as it caters to one of the most astonishing creatures known to the Philippine Islands). Also i get to see the biggest snake in the Philippines, Prony. When I saw Prony, i felt like he's going to swallow my whole body.
After a fun-filled day, we went back to the lodging house with the unforgettable memories that will always remember in our hearts and in our mind.

our two fun meetings..
For our two meetings, Ma'am lynnie discussed a new lesson about the writing descriptive writing and fragments and run-on sentence (which she noticed that we usually use this sentence to our blogs).
So for the first meeting, ma’am gave us some descriptive words and classifies them. Is it under sight? smell?, sound?, taste?, and physical sensation?. I admit that there are lots of words that I don't know.
For the second meeting, ma’am gave us other descriptive words and classifies them. And then, she let us pair with our classmates and shares our descriptive words that were assigned to us. So, we choose one word and share it to the class but the word should not be familiar to class. You must give the meaning. It was good because I'd learned lots of words. Thanks to my dear classmates. Then, we had this seat work about finding the fragments and run-on sentence to the given paragraph. The seat work is done by pair but it has to be another pair. I really find it fun and knowledgeable.
So after the activity and seat work, I had this funny classmate who got caught by ma'am Lynnie speaking vernacular. So, He has to give an entertainment for us as the punishment. What's the funny thing about him is the he sings and danced the "Boom tarat tarat" but he was good (hahahha!)...
I really enjoy the two meetings for this week.
